A flood barrier is a removable wall fitted across a door, gate, shutter or ramp to stop flood water entering. It is also called a flood gate, flood shield, flood board or water stop board. Frontier makes two types: the H-Frame aluminium flood barrier, made to an exact opening, and the NOAQ Boxwall flood diversion barrier for open areas.

Two people can deploy up to 200 metres of NOAQ Boxwall BW52 barrier in under an hour, no tools, no heavy equipment, just an insert-and-lock connection system between modular units.

Yes. NOAQ Boxwall supports a minimum curve radius of 1 metre in both directions, with dedicated 30° corner elements for both inward and outward turns, allowing continuous protection across irregular street layouts, entrances, and corners.

NOAQ Boxwall is a light, free-standing flood diversion barrier made of snap-together plastic units. Place it on firm, even ground and the weight of the flood water presses it down, so it holds itself with no bolts, digging or tools. It guides flood water away from what you want to protect. The standard model holds about 50 cm.

Standard NOAQ Boxwall flood diversion holds water up to about 50 cm (a little over 1.5 feet) on firm, even ground such as asphalt, concrete or paving. It forms curves with a 1 m minimum radius and corners with 30 degree elements. A little seepage is normal. It is not for rough ground. For floods deeper than 50 cm, choose the H-Frame.

No barrier can promise a 100% dry property. A flood barrier stops water coming through the opening it covers, and some seepage can happen. Rain inside your compound and water rising through drains or floors need a small pump and drain valves. Frontier's barriers are hydrostatic pressure tested, and we check every water route on the site visit.

Frontier's H-Frame barrier is built for water pressure and is hydrostatic pressure tested; at metro stations it also stops waves pushed by passing traffic. Very fast water and heavy debris such as logs add load, so we ask about water speed and debris on your road and set the design from that. NOAQ Boxwall flood diversion is for shallow water up to about 50 cm, and can go up in flowing water, but is not for deep or violent floods.
