A removable flood barrier is a set of aluminium planks that slide into fixed side slots across your door or gate, one above another. A rubber seal presses against the frame and floor and holds the water back. After the flood, lift the planks out and store them. The side brackets and floor channel are fixed once.

A small wall or raised sill helps only against a few inches of water, and it blocks your gate every day: cars scrape it and people trip on it. A removable flood barrier gives much more height only on flood days and leaves the entrance clear the rest of the year.

A pump removes water already inside; a flood barrier stops water coming in. If water keeps pouring through a gate or ramp, a pump cannot keep up. Use both: a barrier at the openings, plus a pump and drain valves for water that still collects. Plan a backup, because power is often cut during floods.

No barrier can promise a 100% dry property. A flood barrier stops water coming through the opening it covers, and some seepage can happen. Rain inside your compound and water rising through drains or floors need a small pump and drain valves. A door or gate barrier cannot stop water rising through floor drains or toilets. Ask a plumber about non-return (backflow) valves on your drain lines and keep a small pump for water that collects inside. Our team flags these routes on the site visit, so the barrier is part of a complete plan.

If water rises above the barrier, it flows over the top, so height matters. Measure the highest water mark from the worst flood you remember, add a safety margin, and we make the barrier higher than that. Frontier's H-Frame goes up to 2.2 m. For the H-Frame, the floor channel needs a level base, so floor levelling is part of the site work; we inspect tiles or marble on the visit. NOAQ Boxwall flood diversion works best on firm, even ground such as asphalt, concrete or paving, and can also be used on grass. It is not for rough, broken or soft ground.
