Mumbai Metro - Santacruz, Sahar and Vidyanagri Metro Stations Mitigation Case File

Frontier H-Frame Aluminium Flood Barriers were installed at three Mumbai Metro stations: Santacruz Metro Station, Sahar Metro Station, and Vidyanagri Metro Station. The barriers were installed to protect vulnerable station entrances like main entrances, Emergency doors, Lift entrances at road level from rainwater and floodwater ingress during periods of heavy rainfall.

The installed system consists of permanently fixed aluminium side frames and removable aluminium barrier planks. During normal conditions, the planks are stored separately, allowing unrestricted passenger movement. Before heavy rainfall or a flood alert, the planks can be quickly inserted and secured to form a protective barrier across the entrance. Each barrier was manufactured according to the actual dimensions and site conditions of the respective station.
