The premises of Indian Additives Limited (IAL) were severely impacted by the 2023 floods, with water reaching heights of nearly 80 cm (2.5 feet) within the factory, damaging valuable equipment, machinery, raw materials, finished goods, and office furniture. Lessons from this experience led the management to take proactive measures by installing flood barriers at the main gate and wicket gate. The chosen barrier height of 120 cm (4 feet) was selected to account for potential maximum water levels in the future.
